This form serves as the Clean California Community Designation completion report. To achieve the designation, your community must complete 10 of the 15 criteria (see list below).

You may use the form to track 
each completed criterion and save your progress (click the check box above) until you have met 10 criteria in full and are ready to submit the form. Alternatively, you simply may complete the form after you have met the minimum of 10 criteria in full. For each criterion, you are asked to provide a short (300 word maximum) summary of the actions your community has taken to meet that criterion and upload a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 supporting documents (e.g., document, report, photo).

Advisory Board

How often are community cleanups organized? What resources and support are provided to volunteers during cleanups? What is the process for organizing a community cleanup event? How do you measure the success and impact of a cleanup event?

Measure Progress

What key performance indicators are used to measure progress in your litter reduction initiatives? How frequently do you report on your progress? What tools or systems do you use to track and analyze progress data? What is an example of progress achieved and the factors that contributed?

Community Education

What topics are covered in your community education programs related to litter prevention? How do you promote and deliver educational content to the community? What partnership(s) support your community education efforts? How do you assess the impact of your community education initiatives?

Youth Education

Which age groups are targeted in your youth education programs? What are the main themes and objectives of your youth education initiatives? What methods are used to engage and educate young people about litter prevention? How do you evaluate the effectiveness of your education programs?

What types of anti-littering infrastructure is used in your community (e.g., signs, receptacles)? How do you prioritize installations in your community? What was the impact of recent infrastructure projects?

Does your community have policies or regulations related to litter? How is compliance with these regulations ensured? What enforcement challenges does your community face? What strategies are used to address enforcement challenges? What measures are in place to promote voluntary compliance with litter prevention policies?

What are the key components of your long-term planning strategy for litter prevention? How is community input incorporated into long-term planning? What is the process for reviewing and updating the community's long-term plan? What are the primary goals and objectives of your long-term planning efforts?

What types of items are collected during your community collection drives? How are collection drives promoted and organized? What were the outcomes of the collection drives?
